If you have a new bike, be aware that the linkage is different and you will need a significantly lighter rear spring. (10 Comp, 14 Reb from full stiff - I'm at 8/12 now). My (shock) damping adjusters are set only a couple clicks different from the way the shock came out of the box. This setup is fairly firm, but not harsh, uses minimal preload (4mm on the Hyd adjuster) in the back, and mid-adjuster up front. I split the difference between the two and now run a 150NM spring (0.9KGmm front) on my Falco, which uses the same linkage as pre-02 Milles. If you're strictly street, consider the Race-Tech setup, since it'll be more compliant at the lower velocities. Or just buy a 150/160NM spring for the shock and sell the two you have. So, out of what you have, I would definitely install the 140 and go lighter on the front springs for balance. For an Intermediate rider, Race-Tech recommends 0.85 front and aren't specific about the rear. Ohlins will tell you that their track setup for our weight is 0.95KGmm front and 160NM rear. As I understand them, the first two numbers have to do with the spring's length and size, and the 3rd number (just after the slash) tells you the spring rate in Newton-Meters.
